This beautiful young girl bOuNced into Red Gate Farm Rescue on 11-O3-O8.

Through a conjunctive effort of Debra and her granddaughter MaKala, she was given the nice southern name of Lilly Belle.  She is also lovingly referred to as "Lilly Leaner" because she loves to lean into you for petting and "Lilly bOuNcealot" because frankly, she loves to bounce!

Lilly Belle was given a complete health check shortly after arrival.  Surprisingly, she was found to be both parasite free and heart worm negative.
Lilly Belle was brought up to date on vacs, put on heartworm preventative and sent for spay.  Unfortunately, she underwent major, expensive and unnecessary surgery because she had already been spayed!   It is too bad that people don't leave their animal's medical records in the news tube under the mail box when dumping them <hint, hint!>   In any case, Lilly Belle's former owner(s) never came looking for her so we can only guess that she had been abandoned or maybe she just bOuNced away and became separated from them!

Lilly Belle is approximately 1 year old, crate, leash and housetrained.  Lilly gets along with other dogs/cats, is good with kids and is very well behaved in house but she would really prefer a loving family of her own with the security of a fenced yard and indoor/outdoor privileges so she can  bOuNce, bOuNce, bOuNce in safety like Tigger!

Lilly Belle is up for adoption.  Application, vet/personal references, home check for proper containment (so she doesn't lose her way again!) and adopt fee apply.

Bodacious Hound - Before

Bodacious Hound - after

This beautiful purebred Engish Redtick hound wandered into Red Gate Farm Rescue on December 1O, 2008 thin and hungry.  All attempts through several local media outlets failed to locate his owner.  He was named "Bodatious Hound" (Bo for short) for his awesome ears!  Suprisingly, "Bo" was already neutered on arrival and heartworm negative so obviously he once had a loving & responsible owner.  Unfortunately, he tested positive for hook & whipworms, was subsequently treated & fully vaccinated.   Bo is approximately 2-4 years young.

Bo has gained considerable weight since his arrival here at the fat farm er I mean Red Gate Farm, *g.* He is leash, crate trained and appears to be housetrained.  Bo shows no interest in the cat(s), horses or other dogs here at the farm although he does a bit of food guarding.  Bo is now available for adoption.
